Ouch! burned my foot on the pavement

I have never done that before.  Stepped out onto the sandstone patio to turn on the sprinkler - give the roses a drink, began to notice pain in my foot - then found myself running for the shade.

OWW!

Doubt I did much damage, it's not like it's 110 over here or something, but the sun beats on that patio all day long and it has been in the upper 80's all day.  So I'm sitting at the computer resting my foot on a frozen bag of peas.

Yep, donate a thong {footwear} to the bitumen gods, nothing like stepping on a melted piece of road.... :o

I always find it funny when some dumbarse tries to cross a bitumen road barefoot, and the dance that ensues. ;D

You don't think about stuff like that here.  That it was sandstone seems to be more important than the heat really. I noticed that the pavement in my driveway was perfectly fine, but the patio - ouch!

You should try walking down the beach barefoot here in summer..... :o

You reckon you blokes have problems.

I've been caught every summer since my accident.

The fist time it gets hot, out I go bear foot on to the concrete, but with no feeling from the waist down the results a bit different for me.

Ev calls it my Peter Garrett impersonation.

Because I don't feel me poor old feet blistering the first indication I'm in trouble is muscle spazems in the legs. ;D
