Wheels are back from the powder Coaters there stripped, tested, blasted, primed and coated.
Standard silver as they'll look good with the Orange
Hagen matched shocks.
I decided for safety reasons to get the calipers refurbed by the pro,s as all the seal and Pistons were replaced and pressure tested.
Better safe than sorry

The nickle plating was not to the quality I want and the swing arm was crap.
It will all be replated after many pre fits

Update from the UK on the Rickman restoration
Engine stripped and vapour cleaned
Frame due back from nickel platers  next week with all the other bits either nickel or chrome polished and plated
Forks stantions being re chromed and then rebuilt with new internals
Seat has gone of to the upholsterers
Cylinder heads gone off to have new guides, valves etc.
Top casing will be sent off to have new APE studs fitted

Bearing in mind the difficulty in parts in the UK I'm considering a cycle x big bore kit
836cc new Pistons re bore etc.

This looks great! Any special framed 750 is good in my book. I really like the Rickman and Seeley bodywork. Well done and keep up with the pics!

How much is a import tax in the UK for parts?

Import tax into the UK from USA is shed loads and the couriers rip you off big time.
If there's nowhere else for the parts then it has to be I'm afraid

Update on the nickel plating of the frame, it's back from the plating co.
They had a few issues with its size in the stripping tank but we got there in the end although it was a few week more

Waiting for the larger F2 valves from the USA then the new guides, valves and springs etc can be fitted by the engine machine shop.
I'm going for a 836cc big bore kit which are easily available in the UK.

The leather seat will be made shortly and then all the panels will go off for paint.

Really digging the front end. The dual disc with beefy forks looks the part on these bikes. Only part I never liked was the chain guard. I'm sure it serves its purpose very well but never looked that part, although it is correct for this build. All around, extremely impressive work.

The frame looks exquisite, as to those AP Racing calipers with the Lester wheels.  I cannot remember what front end (forks) and brake rotors you are using.

Forks and discs are original to this bike, there Betor forks made in Spain and discs are marked up Brembo.
Calipers are ap Lockheed

The chain guard will probably look nicer when it's painted or polished.

Any updates on this project? This is one of my favorite special-framed projects I have seen here.
