New speedo, looking for wiring help and programming
« on: July 03, 2015, 02:22:19 PM »
I just got my speedo form China, has anyone worked on this type? The directions are pretty horrible, and I have a few questions about the wiring.

post the wiring diagram that came with it. Someone will be able to help you. A quick question: are any of the backlights or info lights LED?

I have most of the wiring figured out. I just wanted to check with anyone that has fully installed this type to pass on the knowledge. I am having trouble with the neutral light, thats just require a few pokes with some 12v power.

I am also having trouble programing it. I.e. changing wheel diameter, number of cylinders, and fuel level.

The stock Neutral wire (Gr/R) carries a ground to the instrument. Does your gauge want "ground" coming in for Neutral or +12v?

Short taps and long taps on the menu interface can be frustrating. Other gauges are like that too. Do you have a separate momentary switch to program the gauge with? Or is that button accompanying the gauge somewhere?

Interesting, did you install a fuel level float too?
