so.. on Sunday I'm cruising down a country road.....
« on: October 23, 2006, 07:42:22 PM »
and I pull up behind a little Honda, but I can't quite see what kind it is. It could be a twin but I'm not too sure.  He seems to be having a little difficulty keeping it going. The guy turns off on a side road, and as he turns I can finally see the 350Four on the side cover.

I quickly hit the next drivewayand turn around and follow him down a dirt road, and into his driveway.
I figured I could at least help him get it running better.

So after talking to him for a few minutes, I find out this ride was his maiden voyage on this bike.
He knew about it for the last 2-3 years, and recently picked it up, did some tuning/cleaning.

After sharing a few tips on maintainence I mention that if he would like to part with it, I'd be happy to oblige. (My Mrs. is vertically challenged and a new rider)

so tonight the Mrs. comes with me to see it and she loves it!

It's a little too dark for pics right now but I promise some tomorrow.

13,000 miles and unfortunately she needs a new exhaust but she should clean up pretty good!

Congrats to your Mrs! That's a great purchase.  :)

I'm a little jealous.  My *little* woman is also vertically challenged, and opted for a Shadow VLX.  I think you guys have a better match up.

BTW, anytime you want to follow someone and help them get their bike in shape, feel free to fall in behind me!  Lessee...there's the electrical problem, the lousy mpg, the carbs need cleaning, re-jetting, and...and...  ;D

I'm happy for y'all.  My dear departed dad would say "use it in good health"!

sand and gravel are the best
(unless you are on your SOHC, better suited to MX, ATV, 4x4 P/U) ;D

but if it's really loose sand it'll cushion the fall.  On the other hand, it does feel like sliding across a sheet of sandpaper HAHA  ;)

I know, I know:  I'm funny but looks aren't everything.

Yep, that's the bad part for sure.  Even worse if there happens to be bits of broken seashells in it: GAWD!
