New Life - Part II
« on: July 01, 2015, 10:29:39 AM »
From a cracked seat and oil leaks to a rebuilt top end and new paint. The CB is back.

Well, I posted my reply in the original thread and then it looks like you started a new one.  So, I'll do it here:

The new paint re-fresh looks nice (Ayrton Senna inspired theme).  How is she running?

Thanks CB750. Sorry for moving the post. It makes more sense to start a new one.

The original carbs have their days numbered. Looking into getting a new set for Christmas, lol.
But the bike is running a lot better than it did before. I replaced the front suspension springs with Racetech ones. New points/condenser cover. etc.

Big fan of Senna here, so the new paint job was predictable (according to my wife).

No worries.  I was just confused (old guys get confused easily) when I replied to the original thread and it warned that there was not new post in 90 days.

I'm sure you like the documentary on him released in 2011.  He's also featured in the Art of Racing in the Rain -- one of my very favorite contemporary novels.

I got the same message, that's why I decided to move. :)

I sure did see those. I grew up in Brazil watching him race on Sundays. My dad was a huge Fittipaldi and Piquet fan, until we saw Senna racing. From his start at Toleman to the tragic end at Williams team. Hard not to become a fan of the guy.
