Washers for head nuts
« on: July 06, 2015, 10:22:29 AM »
I'm about to put the head back on my bike and found that I have washers for 12 of the 16 nuts. Should I have washers for all of them? If I have to get replacements, are stainless or zinc coated recommended?

Yes you need washers for all. Tip: Use a screwdriver to help guide the washers onto the studs in the spark plug recesses. Slide the washer down to the handle, and then put the tip of the screwdriver on the stud. Then let go of the washer.

Honda Part: 90485-035-000

Just order new ones.

Good point jonda500!!! Check the spark plug recesses. They might still be there, especially if you had leaky pucks!

Nope, no washers stuck to the head. I ended up picking up some new ones from a fastener store.

Thanks for the screwdriver washer tip evanphi!

No problem. I learned it from a forum member, and I figured I should pass it on. :)
