CB550 Carburetor - Unknown piece
« on: July 08, 2015, 08:12:37 AM »
Hello All,

I recently bought the carburetors for my CB550 1974.

Yesterday I started to rebuild them, but while de-racking, a small piece fell  down and I don't know where it was located. I already looked in the manual and the disassembly diagram but I can't find what is this piece for.

I suspect is the throttle return spring base but I'm not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

It is where the throttle return spring goes, as you suspected.  In the fiche you provided, right under #15

Goldarrow's got it. But boy what a crappy pic for the fiche. The return spring doesn't even look like a spring.
