I suppose I should consider myself lucky...after-all, this is the first time in more than a half century that I was injured with a motorcycle and had to visit a hospital.
It's a bit embarrassing

but I hurt myself trying to put my GL1800 up on the centre stand. I had backed it up into a spot using the reverse

, because I didn't want to put it in nose up on the slight incline. I had learned the embarrassing way that it's easy to put on the stand that way, but not so easy to get it down when you want to leave. At any rate, the slope was a little too much and when I was using my leg muscle to try and put it up, I heard and felt some crunching noises from the arch of my foot. After hobbling around for a few days I was advised to have it checked at emergency. They did some X-Rays and concluded that I had some stretched some of the ligaments and probably slightly chipped a bone.
I guess its going to stay on the side stand for a while.
