Well, At least it's good to know that the whole thing isn't going. I guess my main problem was that ( in my time ) I've seen things go away, just because a few just couldn't resist screwing around and I'm just tired of seeing that happen. I started this because, it WAS a surprise when I found that we now had a place where "Tricks & Tips" could be posted and referred to when needed. Maybe I jumped the gun but, when you've seen things screwed up, as many times as I have, you tend to get a little gun shy.

Been doin alittle ebay browsing, after I discovered that it is a 73' SS350, I now know what I year and model I need to be looking at. If I happen onto some parts for a decent price, I'll try to pick up some off an on. Between the info that you gave me and some others that I have located, I've learned more about them. If I manage to round up enough parts, I'll see if I can get it going.

NOW YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION!!!! I just talked to my old neighborhood high school bud last week and he wants me to keep eyes & ears peeled for an old Sprint. He had a brand new one in high school. I am thinking his was a 72 though.AMF made in Italy....Hell.....I took my first (and only) bike test on that Sprint back in 73.This guy just bought a brand new Heritage Softtail last year and now he wants his first Harley all over again.I bought my old Kawi 900 Z1 off this guy and we always gave him #$%* about having a rice bike. Why you ask?........because his name is Harley!!!! Anyways..my bud Harley is looking for a 72...maybe 73 Sprint and I think if a real nice example came his way..I don't think money or distance would be a big deal to him.So keep this post going Bill or is it already in the other bikes section?

There you are, that's exactly my feeling! And as far as the Sprint goes, it's probably gonna be a long term project and it's a "Rolling Chassis" job. I'm talking Frame, Forks, Swingarm, Gastank, seat (base is good, cover and foam shot), Fenders and exhaust system ( single that quickly splits into 2 pipes with mufflers). I've been kinda looking on ebay to see what is out there. Oh yes, it's a 73' SS350 model with no papers either. Now, if I just had a complete motor, wiring w/ electrics, a good seat, controls, switches and lights, it'd be looking pretty good. I may stick it over in "Other Bikes" for a bit. I'm not pushing on it too much right now, got too many others to deal with. but if the stuff becomes available without being too costly, maybe.

Ahhhhhh, we're going to have to go all the way back to Aristotle to find out how some stinky monkey could be writing the Gnostic Gospel of Basilides.

Speaking of Gnostic gospels, I thought this thread was to be sent to the place where deleted threads roam.

So what is a Mctaker? A Mcgiver is A TV show where this guy can make a functional diesel engine out of a rusted pile of scrap metal,a magnifying glass,a pair of vice grips, and 3 sheet metal screws. Sorry if you missed the show!

sorry breeze- that was a typo joke.  i loved macgyver (and quantum leap) and blame these shows for my mechanical curiosity and my belief that time travel is possible if i just keep building weird #$%*.

i try and be a macgiver, but sometimes you need to mactake, ya know.

There's an old story of the kid who kept digging in a room full of poop trying to find the pony that must have created it all.
I just read all of this... still no pony.
