Gang,

Forgive me for I have strayed, but you may enjoy it all the same. I am in about the third inning of a total restoration of a 75 Kawasaki Z1, which you can follow along here if you like:

Congrats Nils, wish I had another Z1. Did finally get an H2 though....

Well, I'll show you how it came to me, it is a basket case...ha![only affordable way to buy an H2]




First order of business will be rebuilding the motor, I'll be ordering Wiseco's and taking the cyl's to get bored next week...

Send them to me first you noodle! Send the heads and the covers too while you're at it. I will make them look neeeeeeeeeeeeeeew. But do it quickly before I disappear for a few weeks.

I think this is a direct quote from me, after I was wrestling with some or other Easter egg left for me by the APO of my 400:

"If I ever buy a bike in pieces again, please punch me in the balls".

You will enjoy that project, no doubt. Post a thread!

I havent done a ground up resto, so I thought this would be a good place to start.

Hi...I just read your thread over at KZR where I have been a member for several years...crazy to think that I used to like that forum more than this one :-\...KZR sure ain't what it used to be.

What you said. I'm a member at a dozen forums by now, and this one here is the exceptional one, not just because of the level of activity, but because of the frankly incredible community, the quality of the contributors, and the collective stamping-out of douchebaggery that happens here.

KZRiders has some excellent contributors for sure, and also Mia very high s/n ratio, but it seems to lack critical mass.
