Kickstart to electric start back to kick cb500

The guy I got my cb500 from switched it to an electric start but I'm going to rewire the bike and want to go back to a kick for minimal wireing. Do I just leave out the starter and button and it's back to a kick start or is more needed to be done?

Yep, you are right. If you want kick start only, do not wire the starter relay and button and that would be it. You could also remove the starter motor to save some weight but you would need to build a plug for the engine case.
