Front brake return pressure / 74 550

Hey guys,

Trying to figure out the reason for my front brake binding. I've disconnected the caliper but still have the hose installed. I can get the piston to return as much as I want with a good bit of squeezing with two fingers from each hand. Does this seem about correct?  I'd like to think its the pad that won't return and would like to fix the issue by polishing its side walls and lubing it. Thanks for your thoughts.

Cleaning up the sides of the piston really helped with my brake when it was dragging.

I should have mentioned I did remove the piston and polish it about 3months ago

Yeah, I went ahead and pulled it. No drag after 5 miles. We'll see.

Did you get the groove in the caliper spotless and install a new seal?

Groove, yes. Seal, no, but it is holding pressure.

When I am experiencing caliper issues, I make it a habit to install a new seal.  Only about 10 bucks....
