Who's had a Suzi TS90
« on: July 14, 2015, 06:59:14 AM »
Looking for a small bike for my son(12), and I found this one.
Its a runner.  No title.
Was this a trail-only bike? Did they have a street version?

That would have had a full compliment of lights etc. back in the day and would have been street legal with a title. That looks like the 5 speed model and they also made the TC90, the Honcho, that had a 4 speed dual range tranny.
Be a nice beginners dirt bike for a kid to learn on.

My Dad had one, was a great bike. I was too young to ride it but my sister did.
TS = Trail Street, so yes, they were street legal.

A few years ago, I wanted to get one but wanted more power, bought this '72 TS250...

The PO stripped off the lights just the same as the bike you're going to look at.
The only negative about these bikes is there is not a lot of parts available.

I had a TC90 when I was a kid, it had some wicked porting and an expansion chamber and would wheelstand in just about every gear, a great little bike. Like you said, for under 200 bucks you can't go wrong. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yeah mate, a farmer bought it for his kid to use as an Ag (agricultural) bike, but his son became a 2 stroke tuning wizz, and turned it into a little beast. Cheers, Terry. ;D
