750k6
« on: July 07, 2015, 09:05:10 PM »
I just recently bought a pretty pristine 76  cb750k with 20,000 miles on it. Put a battery in, checked the earl, filled it with gas/half can of seafoam, put some ngk iridium plugs in, rode it 1500 miles and it's running like the day it was uncrated (using no oil). I'm pretty damed impressed to say the least.

As promised. Still has all the stuff on it. It's pretty usefull, just hard to clean up what rust there is with the windjamma in place.

I get paid bi weekly so I've been out of money and riding it daily. Anywhere from 45 to 55 mpg depending on which circuit I'm riding in. I've worked on a lot of old Hondas so I've seen a lot of lemons but I got a cherry here, for sure. Thanks for the welcome guys, I'll keep you updated as I strip it.

Hmm, not far,  I am in Northern VA.  Are you dumping the fairing?

Not sure yet. It's the whole thing. Vetter ss with the side skirts for winter. Matched trunk with same key as glove box. I bought it from a friend at work who inherited it this way.  I'm the third owner it seems and I don't want to make changes too quickly or drastic as it might be considered insulting to a dead man's legacy.

The stuff all has to come off for rust removal so I'll ride it into work after that's done and see how much of a shock it is on Dan (prior owner).

I've got an aunt in Richmond, you've got first dibs before it goes on ebay, eh? I'll find a way to get it to you without shipping.

Thanks!

I am not sure if I really want it or not, but I ride year around - except the few days when VA has snow - and it sure would be nice to have a big honking vetter for winter.
