Lockup clutch for a 750

Does anyone have an inexpensive, used lockup clutch assembly for a 750. Kick start only set up?? Although it doesn't appear I've got clutch slippage down track, I'm leaning towards installing a lockup just in case I'm loosing wheel speed on the top end. Anyone have comments on that possibility before I move forward with the change???

I put a lock up ony gs1100 street bike and yes it cured
The slipping problem I had on the dyno
Got it back on the dyno last weekend and there was
NO slippage
Slowly getting the carbs dialed and still only at 112 hp
But the lock up is the way to go
It will come off as soon as the dyno runs are done as I tested
A new clutch stack and got the original slipping problem figured out
Did you call bill about a lock up?

I think Bill had a new Cycle Ex lockup. Not sure i want to spend that kind of money on a new one just to bracket race. I'd be more inclined to spend less on a used one. I really don't think its a major issue of clutch slippage but figured if i could find one a a decent price, i'd give it a whirl.

Frank, If you have to kick start, you will also have to "make" an extended kick start spindle to go with most of the lockups that I am aware of. Keith

I read that somewhere Keith. That kind of scares me to extend the shaft out given the fact that the kick pawls are already the weakest link in a big cc, higher compression motor. I've replaced at least 5 of those things since i've been racing my bike and getting a bit anxious about the longevity of the one in there now. The bad part is, there is no way to get to that tiny little piece without pulling the engine and splitting the cases. Did they make a hardened piece back in the day??

FRANK: You and me must be the only two racers that kick start their rides !!!! Put a starter back on that LOW RIDER and hit the button with a slider. I have been kicking those 2 wheeler since 1956 and my right knee is still without NEW PARTS. Try the APE extra pack and shim those springs w/ new fibers - shot peen steels every year...... Did MTC ever make a slider for a 750 SOHC = Honda did, HONDAMATIC and I was sliding them this past Saturday NIGHT and will be sliding them this coming Sunday. CHAD INSLEY showed me this slide game years ago at IDBA on a HONDAMATIC. I do remember that 1952 Triumph T-110 I had was a left knee kicker, brake on the left, shifter on the right = dam near got me killed thinking I was put on the rear brake only to be down shifting after riding HONDAS,YAMAHA,KZ, SUZK,BMW,MOTO GUZZI, and yes HARLEY TOO !!!!!!
