Cycle X has many other very nice racing exhaust with most optimum clearance. The sidewinder they make has excellent clearance for a streetbike In my opinion unless you are turning right...just kidDin.
Actual haven't had any issues with it scraping but I don't ride like a GP racer and rarely scrape pegs these days.
it sounds very nice and distinct . The carpy Yoshi replica is a very good pipe for the buck. It's easy to install a baffle if it's too loud for you and ceramic aerosol header paint is very cheap.

Cycle X makes some of the coolest exhausts to date.
If they made 550 exhausts I'd be standing in line to get one.
Someday maybe.

I have to say i'm not in love with the sidewinder that cyclex makes! its super loud and sits way to low to the ground and also you cant run rearsets with it. if you try your going to have to make some kinda of arm or something that makes the peg extend past the pipe. while i had it on my bike i had no rear brake due to this. and for everyone talking about the fitment issues even the sidewinder needs a pull and push and scream to get it on and off! just saying. its not a bad setup but i wouldn't buy it again.

CycleX chromed 4-2-1 header look good!
It has a 2 1/2" OD pipe for the baffle. I would like to find a baffle like old Yoshimura, Russ Collins or Vance & Hines with an ear to be mounted into the passenger foot peg bolt. A low angled 4-2-1 for the K0-K6 bikes.
Like K7 is Ok too, brackets need to be done for the rear foot pegs that will be mounted 4" higher. I have done that before for my old RC 4-1 (K7 model) I had on my K6 35 years ago.

I was sure that the sidewinder design is for dragracing only. 1/4 mile straight ahead without any turn at all and nothing that block the exhaust flow and the powerful sound. ???
Vance & Hines have a really good looking sidewinder too.

ok...........
So I've got bad news, I emailed Chris with the list of everyone that wanted a pipe and even though he told me he would make a run of 5 if i could find 4 people "HI, Once i get 3-4 guys that want the m then i will build a batch off Five ,just because i don't make money from them" i guess he changed his mind and sent me a email yesterday with a little different tone. after he asked what wanted todo and i sent him the list of guys he respond with this. (I,
The option is carpy exhaust caferacer.com or lossa engineering.com ,otherwise i sell them at my cost so i have 4-5 bikes to build currently at 30-40k so when i have time i will make 4-5 pipes for a cb750)

This one has better angle if passenger foot pegs is important for you as it for me. Available in raw steel uncoated, coated to stainless. Inner diam not known, hopefully 70mm that make it possible to use the diffusers Yamiya sells. Load and silent, both are useful.
http://www.lossaengineering.com/products/honda-cb750-yoshimira-replica-exhaust?variant=1239420883

It's in 2 pieces which make it possible to weld an horisontal plate in the middle of the outlet of the header. Separate 1-4 with 2-3 to make it closer to a 4-2-1 system. I've heard from my local tuner that it can help the middle range rpm.

Time to give it up Jim, he's extremely busy and his business is going through the roof, there's bugger all money in the pipes,  as he's said more than once, he honored both my deals and has been nothing but helpful, we all know you don't like him, time to get over it I think...

I'm game to wait, since that is our only option. Please include me on the list for October or September. Question: So what is the actual cost of exhaust?

I know this post was for a 750 but it's still relevant if he's no longer doing these pipes at all.

I will use this opportunity to feeler FS a set of pipes i have from Chis that have never been installed. Only brush polished by me.

I chopped the rear passenger pegs on my 550 and I'am having a hard time coming up with an alternative area to mount a rear exhaust hanger. Possibly will be going with something shorter and getting rid of this pipe.

Anyone seriously interested PM me.

Thanks.

EDIT: If this post bothers anyone I can delete it.  8)
