Motogp werks exhaust

Hey guys!
So i talked with Chris the other day and he said that if he can find 4-5 guys that want a exhaust that he would make some "tomorrow" so... anyone want one! i know i do, so can we get 3-4 more people that could say yes we want this a amazing 4-1 exhaust!!! Come on guys lets do it!  ;) my guess would be they would run around $600 and not sure about what years 69-74?

I'm looking for an exhaust but I'm currently leaning toward a Delkevic.  I'll look it up later this evening, anybody have one?

My guess is that he was referring to 4-5 people with respect to the SAME model -- such as a CB550 OR CB750 (69-78K) -- not a mix and match between the two.  You may want to specify which group you fall into, although I would think it is a 750K given the year range you mentioned.

I have one on my 500. I have to say, I think you can do better for $600 bucks. The fit wasn't that great & the welds are pretty horrible. not that I could do better, but for $600 I expect more. pretty sure you can get the same look thing from Carpy for less.

$600 is not cheap, But the set I bought off Chris a yr back was very well made, welds and fitment were very good on my 78 CB550.. Very Pleased with decision and purchase !!

Hi, new to the forum and new to cb750s.  I just called him today 7/16/15 and sent him an email that I"m in.  BTW I have a 77 cb750f2 super sport.

Ok... Yes I think we need cb750 guys. Sorry thought i was saying that. Also does anyone know what years and models work? Does all the 69-79 and f models all fit? Because I was thinking f models where different

Disagree, you won't find a better exhaust for less.  Have you see the alternative?

I contacted him too....after his last ebay listing for one ended.
I he told me then that he would be doing 5 to 6 more in OCT.
So, put me in for one, but hope or the $525 to 575 range.

Edit. BTY, His are STAINLESS STEEL!!!

I have one from him for my 836 project and it's a good quality job, but not yet fitted it. Just had to make up a bracket for the rear attachment

Agreed.  I've had mine on and off a couple times in the last 2 years and the fit's still perfect, and the stainless springs Chris provided work exactly as designed.  I just just bolted it on right outa the box and the pipe has aged beautifully and always get's noticed.  I think I paid $575 two years ago.  $600's a bargain when you look at the crap being sold for $150 less for the 550's.  To help put it in perspective, I have a dual Termi set up on my 900SS that's stainless with carbon cans and listed at $2,150.  The welds on the MotoWerks pipe are just as beautiful as the Termi.  Just gotta like a little roar...you definently won't be sneaking up on anyone.

I love mine on my 750F0, except the fitment, the headers dont line up that well, i have literally beat it off with a rubber mallet to get it on and off, luckily the stainless is incredibly thick. I hear about people taking theirs on and off in seconds, but I guess I just got a fluke. I'm sure I couldve sent it back, but I hate shipping large boxes with a passion.

Sure. May have to rig up a rear mount which shouldn't be a problem.

as for alternatives..well there's Carpy's for $200 less (though admittedly I don't know if its stainless). If I had a 750 I would also look at the sidewinder exhaust from Cycle Exchange (ceramic coated with stainless muffler).

If stainless is your game...think you can by the Delkevic headers (mufflers look kinda bulbous), and A cone engineering muffler, for around 200 less.

anyways I still have the Motogpwerks on my bike...so it cant be that bad ;)

Sidewinders are useless on the street, way too low and made for drag racing, last time I looked, drag racers don't go round corners...
Carpy's cheap pipes are uncoated mild steel so to have a "finished pipe you still need to spend money...

Jim, your pipe was a real early one and not made by Chris, Chris bought that exhaust guy out and now, all pipes are made by Motogpwerks in house, the comparison has nothing in common....... ;)

Thanks for answering. Lucky for me I'm in Southern California and Anaheim is about a 30 min ride for me.  So if I have any issues I'll ride on over and take their suggestions.

Good to know RR, cause some of us got royally screwed in the early days supporting MoroGPWerks with the prototypes. Glad these guys don't have to deal with #$%*e fitment issues and such.

While we are on it, anyone using their swing arms? Advantages of just using a 550 swing arm on a 750? I know it look great!

I have one of the Motogpwerks swingarms for the 750, Why would you put a 550 arm on a 750..?
