Honda are the best, but I have been satisfied with Motion Pro when I needed a special length.

Motion Pro is decent, but any cable no matter where from will last or not based on maintenance - aka lubrication.

And you know what you are talking about.  ;)
If you have difficulties financing a genuine Honda clutch cable, perhaps...
In the end, it's cheaper to buy the right thing ones than the inferior aftermarket stuff on a weekly bases (that's only true for those who actually drive their Honda of course).

HA...I didn't even buy it.  It was new and came with my 750 with all the extra parts from the PO.
The HONDA clutch cable sheath looked like it had burned/melted against a header (not thru, just the outer double walled casing), so I replaced it with the nicer-looking MP.  Lucky me I kept the OEM cable.  Had to call the FPC (familial pit crew) to bring it to me when the MP broke  ::)  I'm still using the (melted) HONDA cable. . .

Barnett used to make nice cables....sometimes you can still find old stock of them.. Wish they still made them the nylon lined were excellent.

Thanks again folks/754. I'll look for Barnetts if available somewhere. I forgot to specify THROTTLE cables is what I need. I replaced the clutch cable a while ago with gen. Honda. ALL cables on my 750 are replacement Honda. Not a lot of cash to go towards bikes any more. gotta watch spending :-[

TerryCable has built cables and fork damping kits for over 30 yrs, his cables are the smoothest and most reliable you'll ever find. I don't know if he makes every cable for every bike. He's in Hesperia California. I know Factory Manufacturers like Husqvarna has ran his products in some competition production models. I think he's went into Harley suspension pretty big. I don't know what his prices are, his company isn't big overhead.

If I remember correctly, I had to file some minor rough spots off the ends of the motion pro cables so they would fit easily and move smoothly. I also lightly grease the ends, especially the clutch cable where it fits in the lever. If it doesn't rotate it will work harden the cable next to the end and cause it to break there. Like I said, Honda are the best, but still require maintenance.

Had the same experience with Motion Pro but I was happy with end result and price ;)

It ain't cheap but if you have a few bikes and do restorations this is a nice kit to have. It is well organized and has just about anything you need. I always seem to order cables early on in a restoration and by the time they are ready to go on at least one has a problem, too long, too short, wrong end, etc. This kit makes it easy to get the cable on and keep the job moving. They also have just about anything to rebuild your own cable, or custom make your own.

Yes I thought they were sweet,  the other ones that look better than stock, are the hex type with the end dished out to save weight.. They look pretty good too..

I bought cables from wemoto.com at last restore, slinky glide. They had correct lenghts and work as they should.
How long they will last? - I do not know. I have so far no reason to think they are crap.
Clutch cable not mounted yet. I ordered the model with same lenght as my old and working one ("Alternative")

Momo, I was lucky to be in a club, Checkers MC, Terry was President at the time. I used to get free cables and fork kits whenever wanted. They were good products! He's still working.
