I discovered how to get FREE rearsets for 1977/78 CB750F Supersports! Simply swap the footpegs right & left! It moves the pegs back 2" and I kid-you-not! A shorter shift lever would be nice (I had 1 from an unidentified bike) and re-position the curb-feelers on underside of the peg rubbers and you are in business.

Yep, swap pegs from each side to the other. I had to file down the rh aluminum peg bracket a tad and it's good to go. Amazingly ez mod!

Before and after. Moves them back about 2". I had to rotate the brake pedal 1 notch, I'm thinking about trying a common CB750 brake pedal on for size (2" shorter) or shortening this pedal 2" and re-welding it. Road test is next when it stops raining.

You are a freaking genius. I've been stuck for a year on this. I'd love a small adjustment to move the pegs back but not enough to justify all the modification and welding to get proper rearsets. Trying this out very soon. Thanks so much!

Does 2" really constitute them being rear set other than technically. I think there's a lot of enthusiasm over a minor change.

basically changes the riding position from slightly stodgy to slightly aggressive...no biggie, but a worthwhile improvement imo  Looks to be just far enough back so that you can get some positive weight on those pegs and shift your body around quite a bit better...also, I see too many dudes putting universal rearsets way too far back in the passenger peg position

Just wanted to resurrect this old thread to say thanks for the tip! It's not much  difference but the extra 2" does make a noticeable difference in how high my legs have to come up and with low bars it prevents me from getting this weird hip cramp I sometimes got with the pegs in stock position! Definitely worth a try if you're tall. Plus with my size 13 feet I can still easily reach both shifter and brake pedal!
