heres one of my Nortons I restored a few years ago
« on: July 03, 2015, 12:08:08 PM »
Norton 1924 16H Model 2
It's a far cry from a cb750 but it has 3 1/2 h.p.engine a rear brake like a push bike and front brake not much better.
It will achieve about 50mph
Its over restored yes but that's how I did it.
The model 2 was an up market version with bigger tyres, comfort handlebars and footboards....all for added comfort

I had a Computor virus recently and I'm in the process of restoring the back up
I will post when I have them back. Hence from the I pad
Meanwhile here's one for you boys in the good old US of A.
This is my BSA Daytona , supplied in the 50s to race in the Daytona 200 it returned in the 70s as best I know, it's one of only a few rigid framed gold stars produced for the American market, I m told  about 300 and only a handful were circuit bikes

I'm still researching this bike.
It would have raced at other places possibly Ulster,Ireland.

The Cr750 rep is a race bike
And I have a 1930 Norton CS1 which was a Swedish race bike, supplied in 1930 to norstrum in Sweden , a very famous racer and Norton agent.
This bike like the manx is not messed with, it's as is.
I also have the Norton Manx 1956 which is an ex reg dearden supplied bike.
It was once sold through Bonhams with a Mike Hailwood manx from the same owner.

No there not a speciality, race bikes are nice, but i I like anything that's of interest to me
I used to build race cars for road use, not any more there too time consuming, costly and back breaking, although I do still have two of them

Greedy ,,,,yes
