CB750F and forum newbie
« on: July 19, 2015, 06:25:27 PM »
Purchased a 1976 CB750F as a project bike.  After being dropped more than once and sitting for a long time, it needs a lot of care and attention to get it back on the road.  This one is not restorable, numbers do not match and prior owners really mucked things up.  I'll surely have questions for the members here.

I'm new the these models but not motorcycles, been riding for over 50 years.  I'm retired so I have the time to spend on my favorite pastime, at least during Minnesota winters.  My regular ride is a '98 Honda Valkyrie Tourer.

Welcome.   They are all restorable, just pick what level you want to bring it up to.

The VIN numbers never matched exactly, frame and motor were manufactured in different factories and mated later.

If your VIN numbers did match, you'd have something rarer than unicorns. ;D
You only use them to title the bike and know exactly what you have.
