Should I buy this cb450
« on: July 21, 2015, 08:48:45 PM »
Sorry no pictures. But the owner says he can start bike and it will idle good. All stock except missing airbox and shocks. Those are missing but those don't bother me. Willing to sell it to me for 300 with clear title. Thoughts on this bike? Not familiar with the model and the flaws gonna go look at it tomorrow. It is a 1982 cb450sc. Thanks for your responses

Sorry, but with no specifics or pictures, you're not going to get anything but speculation.  We couldn't even tell you if it's worth the sum in parts minus your labor to sell it.

That particular model and year is not very coveted in particular compared to the older inline fours.

Ha I'm fixin a 650 up now and kinda leaning towards not getting it and using the money for parts just thought I would get some quick opinions.

As stated, not a very desirable model for resale but it is a decent bike...Larry

Yeah. Thanks for the quick responses I think I'll hold out for an older 4 with a kick start.

If it were the old DOHC then jump on it, but for the newer model....would have to be very very nice otherwise to tempt me to buy.

I would only do it if it were the DOHC motor. The SC is not.
