The lie was pertaining to Chris's comments.
Am I to see that as a threat RR?

Quote
their reasoning or blatant lies

Clearly it wasn't.......   Threat ? what threat...  you are a funny guy jim, real funny....

I guess it's a mater of credibility Mick. When you inquired and where entrusted to more details you had a completely different opinion.
At least my story and butt hurt (as you so eloquently put it) has remained consistent.

Let's call a spade a spade.
Is the term "Two Faced" commonly used down under?

His emails are extreme to say the least, just curious, what was his job in the 80's.? You are right in saying that you should have sent the pipe back ASAP, it has now got out of hand, lucky you are mild mannered, my response to those threats would have been to just turn up at his place balaclava and all and smack him around a bit with a baseball bat, or similarly pay someone else to do it, those threats are just plain stupid. In saying that, i have had no problems {in part to your help to which i than you very much} and will still buy from him.
I think that posting this stuff on the forum without being able to get the whole story out is probably a waste of time as {as i did} it will only end up in a #$%* fight. Why haven't you sent back the $350, is it just because of his threats.?, you would probably be better off doing it just to get some resolution here as it looks like you are both getting really pissed off with this situation. As he sees it, you have his pipe and his 600 dollars, that seems to be the gist of his frustration. I hope i didn't come off as being #$%*y, its just that without all your story and my good experience i found it necessary to share my experience......No hard feelings i hope..... ;)

I'm really glad you brought up credibility mate, you would love to have a read of my inbox, That post above was well before I had heard both sides of the story, you've helped clarify that , haven't you... ;D  Chris is a friend, you clearly hate him, you've done this over a very long period in EVERY thread about his business, you seem unable to help yourself, i'm starting to feel sorry for you. I know what i've said here and its all correct, you on the other hand now have a massive credibility problem , I now know fully both sides of the story, and the way you have cried like a little girl for all this time, the way you taunted Chris online in a couple of different forums and other mediums as well, and your continued rubbish here despite his great reputation with a huge majority, make you look infantile. You HATE him, its clear, I don't, thats your only problem here mate, you have pissed off a lot of people, I'll continue to defend Chris and his business, he's been good to me and hundreds of others, get over yourself and you new lack of credibility big guy, it must be hard being the narcissist you are, makes it hard to see reality... I will NEVER reply to another of your posts, you've openly said on this forum that you are bating me and thats all you are doing, its pathetic, I don't care, and I love the fact that, above all common sense, you'd rather be seen as a complete idiot just to take me to task, its working mate, well done... I'm done. I'll let Chris do the talking now.... ;D ;)   Thats it folks, Chris is a good guy with an excellent business, if you buy something you aren't happy with, SEND IT BACK, its really not that hard......onward and upward.... ;D

really not involved in this, but it may help end this thread in a way where everyone can be happy...I know there are some significant differences between a '76 550k swingarm and a '76 550f swingarm.  Unfortunately, I am quite sure the pivot bolt, collar, and bushing id and od are the same.  f swingarm is wider at the rear axle and if I remember correctly there is something different about the brake stay...
If it works good, it looks good...

Geez, Jimmy. Why don't you and Mick get a room?

Does remind me of having conversations with my wife and I'm more convincing in the buff. Maybe some intimate time with RR would be helpful. Then he might realize I don't actually hate him.  ;)

Thanks so much for stepping down from the Olympus to deal with us, so unworthy your attention  ;D
Seems a bit out of character for you, 70CB. Have you had personal dealings with MGP that left you disappointed? If not, I'm surprised you'd render such sarcasm at someone whom you don't know. And continuing to stoke the flames of this thread with less than adult comments seems unnecessary.

My opinion...

The very first line of his comment confirmed my A1 opinion from above.  Walking in a room full of strangers saying I am here to deal with your crap is right out of Carnegie's book, is it not?

My beef in this is that everybody on the forum had and will have a problem with a vendor, it is inevitable.  And it was always legit to post your experience and it was always understood that YEMV.  There are people who complained about CycleX, and there were people who had a great experience with them.  In my set of retainers, one pair was missing and I got it free of charge by turn of the mail based on one, simple, phone call. My word was not doubted, it was not my crap to be dealt with, I did not have to call twice. Just an example.

But it was always the forum members and the world outside.  Now, there are vendors who could be wrong and vendor(s) that is never wrong thanks to the big mouthed spin doctor from down and under.  How is it fair and how much it divides the forum I will leave to you to think about.

Showing pics of a swingarm that is made correct, does not change anything on the one that was shipped that did not drop right in.

Show me where I said that Prokop, more crap mate, don't put words into my mouth, you are obviously here just to comment on me, not the actual problem, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RETURNED, what is it about that you don't understand...?  If that had been the case, none of this would have happened...its really that simple... :o

No one said it did, did they..?  How is anyone supposed to know there is a problem if it WASN'T RETURNED....   Do you see the recurring theme here ? How do we know what was done to that arm before it was shipped to Hondaman...?   You two have chosen to support one side of a story with NO PROOF of what happened, you've taken one guys word with no actual idea what so ever of what may or may not have happened, rather stupid really, If Chris didn't know there was a problem and no one else has had that problem before, why the hell shouldn't he stand behind his product until its returned and been inspected, this is so stupid its beyond belief... ::)...?

If someone has an issue with a vendor we have separate areas for posting that (just as we do for nothing good vendors). This really should be there. No matter where it's posted, there's no need for name calling. If anyone is considering lashing out, I would "strongly" suggest using the available ignore functions. I hope this is clear to everyone.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I'm going to lock this thread. It has resulted in a number of PM's to me that I cannot resolve. Neither myself, nor the forum or site owner can intercede on the behalf of any particular party. This forum is for the purpose of allowing like minded individuals to post, read and become informed about topics related to SOHC fours. If you have a dispute with a member, you have to resolve it between yourselves, and off-line via PM or eMail, not publicly. There seem to be problems surrounding this thread's subject. Resolve them among yourselves, please do not publicly ridicule one another.
