Hello all! First time posting. I have been building a 1974 CB550 cafe racer for the last year and a half. I have not been able to find a nice cleaned up simple wiring diagram so I made my own. So, here it is. I have a Dyna electronic ignition instead of OEM points, and a regulator/rectifier combo. Other than those, everything else is original.
So heres my diagram. I hope someone else finds it helpful.

why have the SSM involved without Electric start? I'd encourage you to install an inline fuse between Reg/Rec RED and battery POS. That fuse should match the mean amperage of your battery's charge rate. (Otherwise, you risk toasting a battery if the R/R misbehaves).

Calj737, I had the fuse between rectifier and battery but a buddy said to move it between battery and ignition. You think I need both or just switch where it is currently?

As far as the SSM unit. I still have no idea what that even is. I was following another simplified diagram for that.

So if I got rid of the starter, I don't need the SSM either?

The inline fuse for the Reg/Rec is separate from the ignition switch. Both should use a fuse for protection of the circuits. As I said earlier, protecting the battery from the Reg/Rec is more important than the key switch, so I would use 2.

The SSM is the Starter Safety Motor. It's a lockout for the electric starter to prevent pushing the button and reigniting the starter while the motor is running.

Removing the starter is unnecessary. If you do, you must then plug the case where the gear engages to prevent oil from pouring out.

One other thing:

I would use different colors in your diagram for the rear brake switch "ground" wire. You come from the switch with a brown (looks that way) and that is a stock Honda powered circuit. You're using it on the ground side, the taillight uses a black (manufacturer devised ground wire color) and connects to brown. For the purposes of wiring and clarity, I would switch both of these to straight green so your legend coincides with the picture and no confusion is created.

Thanks again. I figured you were saying to use two, I just wanted to clarify as I'm in my garage right now.

As far as that brown wire going to a black:
I had a custom tank/seat made with a tail light. The tail has a red ground, a red power to main light, and a black for the brake.

So the original g/y from the rear switch is now a tan wire.

Totally didn't think about how those were different than normal when posting my diagram. But thank you for the info.

Oh, and I forgot all about the mounting bolts and seal on the starter! Wish I read your reply before I found that out on my own!

WOULD ANYONE BE INTERESTED IN A BREND NEW WIRE HARDNESS FROM NICE 16AWG HIGH TEMPERATURE WIRE????

I'M REDOING MY HARDNESS COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH AND HAVE EXTRA WIRE AND NOW KNOW THAT WHOLE SYSTEM VERY VERY GOOD AND SEE IF ANYONE WOULD BE INTERESTED OF BUYING ONE FR9M ME??
