Chem dip carb
«

I put carb #3 in chem dip over night, and when I pulled it out, it was dark gray and had a powdery or dusty film on it. Is this normal, or is there a better way to clean the carbs?

There may have been silver paint or coating on it. I just did a set of 76 carbs and had the same thing. But dip it and use a tooth brush or something to get all the old finish off.
