The voltage is flowing from one wire passing through the switch and the starter button completes the path back to the solenoid. Is this right? I have no voltage coming out of either yellow / red or green/red
Nor would you, as both of these wires are ground circuits. The solenoid should have a black wired to it to deliver power, the Y/R completes ground when the START button is pressed. G/R is NEUTRAL switch.

Pull in the clutch lever then try again...

Tried that Didn't work. All the solenoid for sale for a 76k cb750 only had two wires not three unless I am missing something here.
