3 or 4 years ago I was headed from Milwaukee to Gingerman Raceway.  Early morning ride through southern Wisconsin, then Chicago, down around the bottom of Lake Michigan.  I was tired and the sun was rising in South Bend Indiana.  There was a bike already stopped at the next light.  I stopped alongside and looked over...skinny little old guy sitting on a fairly ratty, but stock 1979 CBX.  I gave him a nod of respect and he reciprocated.  The light turned green and we took off quickly.  He stayed back with me until about 4th gear, then opened her up, pretty much leaving my cb750 for dead.  I will never forget the sound of him pulling away down US12.  The whole experience was just surreal...
If it works good, it looks good...

Nice video. CBX is overhyped. Any of those others would eat it.  ;D
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Thanks for that.  Quite a joy to see all those bikes in restored condition and treated so fairly.

Personally I would love to get my hands on a Kawi 900

I had a 900 Kawi LTD for a saturday once. Why I didn't buy one, I'm still not sure but that day I learned how to wheelie or spin the back tire on a bike. It was a matter of locating my ass forward or aft on the seat and twisting the grip.

I was a little surprised and I bet y'all were to that the GL1000 (I have one of these by the way, mine's a 77 though)was in company with the likes of the Kaw Z1, 750H2 triple, Suzuki GS1000 and CBX. I knew that even for such a big, and heavy bike it accelerates rather rapidly down the road when you crank the throttle open ;D And to top that it's so smooth and comfortable.

I enjoyed that. Southern England eh? That's close to my neck of the woods. I'm going to be scouring every barn in every country lane now in the hope of finding this place and being allowed a look! That fella's really stuck in the seventies, loved the Bond Bug in the background (that's the hideous orange fibreglass abomination for those that don't know what I'm on about) and I can honestly say that apart from the CBX and Z1 I've ridden every bike featured in my time, including the Raleigh Chopper he falls off at the end!
Great trip down memory lane. Thanks for posting this Mick :)

I can't tell a lie. I would love to have a Z1 in my garage also.

Ok Stev-o I know you have to be getting tired and bored with that old Z1 by now. So you ready to let it go ;) When donkeys fly right. Haha ;D ;D

It was a good show Retro. I seems to be getting bigger every year.

By the time I check out the show then the car park I've had enough. It's almost to much to take in all at once for me.
