K2 750 parts needed to delete rear grab rail?
« on: July 31, 2015, 06:54:18 AM »
I think I found the correct turn signal mounting brackets, I assume they are rubber mounted but I'm having trouble identifying the rubber parts, are these parts right?
Thanks.

Your K2 bar has the full wrap-around bar with turn signal mounts? That's how my K3 is. The picture is the earlier K1 style which I think has all of the parts represented in the pics - except there is a ground wire mount that goes in there too (I think). Unless you're running aftermarket signals on those stems which have their own wire/ground.

K1 style ground (I think):

I your looking for used earlier CB450 used them also as well as the 1970/71 750. The individual rubber parts, dowel, etc.  were still available from Honda also the last time I needed some.

One guy took a piece of flat stock and bent 1 1/2" on each end and bolted it to his license plate, then bolted the turn signals to that.  As a bonus you can use any turn signal you want.

It looked half way decent as it was covered by the license plate.

I went this way.......

Not concerned about it being "original" and the factory parts can be pretty pricey. The directional were $20.00, front and rear 3 wire, so they will also be running lights

Be sure to use those parts fiche exploded views that most good original parts suppliers have online so you can see in detail the original parts, their proper orientation, and part numbers where you can do a cross search to also see what other models share that same part to help your search i looking or used.
