Topic: CB350F swingarm

I have a 72 CB350F project started as a mild cafe rebuild. I owned a 74 CB350F back in high school as my 1st brand new bike. Last fall I bought a complete but rough, almost running 72 CB350F.

One thing I always felt about 350F is the stubby proportions. I'd like to use a slightly longer swingarm in the rear just to lengthen the bike visually. Does anyone know if the swingarm from other CB Hondas fit and it one from a CB550 or CB750 might be longer.

Andy, how long is your present swing arm?  center front mount to middle of axle.   I have a pile of swing arms.  Welcome, and the manual is downloadable from this site...Larry

Thanks Larry. It's 18" front pivot to center of the rear axle, and about 8.50" wide at the front pivot (where it fits in the frame). So if I could find one that is about 19" to 20" long, and has the right width at the front I'd be interested in trying it.

I have a welder so if I need to change the shock mounts that is no big deal.

I'd really like to put an aluminum swingarm in the back. I did that years ago on my 78 Suzuki GS1000, the swingarm from a GS750 fit right in.

I'd even like to put an aluminum twin shocks swingarm on my GN400 ice bike just to remove some weight from the bike.
