Yay!  No interference issues with the valves and pistons!  Dynoman has his 674cc kit sorted out well with the supplied gasket.

Old exhaust studs removed, and head painted and installed!

Minor frustration -- my stainless allen bolt kit did not include bolts for the valve cover.

That sucks. Who sells a SS bolt kit and doesn't supply those?
I know that SS Allen socket caps interfere with the tappet covers on the 550's.
Is that true of the 650 cover too?

I think I used stainless button heads on a 550 engine I did.

I think the kit was from Alloy Boltz
Bummer.  New fasteners on the way.

Check these out....very low profile.
http://www.ballerbolts.com/stainless-super-low-head-cap-screw-m6-1-0--6mm-30mm-.html

They aren't really $4+ per bolt are they?
I guess. I agree that is very expensive but if you only need 4 or so....... ;D
I use these people for most of my stainless stuff. Good inventory, very fast shipping. A good company. https://www.belmetric.com

from memory the 650 is 22 bolts for the rocker cover, a couple are longer than the rest.

That's funny.  I just saw one yesterday (another perk of living in Southern California).

I won't argue the perks of living in SC...great weather and the cars/bikes out there are phenomenal (as are the women).
And that's a gorgeous car as well, but I'm pretty sure that's the McLaren MP412C, not the P1.  About $800,000 difference in the price.
