Of Possible Interest to Deer Hunters
« on: October 26, 2006, 08:55:42 AM »
I'm for the birds myself ;) (Pats, woodcock, duck, etc). Came across this product and thought I would pass it along to any deer hunters to see what they think. I have no connection to the firm or product. My dentist brought to my attention. Anyway, have a look see what you think. He seemed to be impressed.. my dentist that is.

Gotta love the Internet.  Why, just a few years ago, I would have known nothing about enticing does to urinate:

"By using the Scrapemaker properly, you can actually get does to urinate into mock scrapes."

Nor would I have known about effective licking limb placement:

"The licking limb also has to be highly visible to other deer; do not choose your licking limb in deep cover, this would be ineffective."

Ain't technology grand!

Hey Bob,

can't you guys actually hunt "no frills" for the enjoyment of the hunt, not add the inevitable technology and modernisation into a dying sport.......have I got something wrong here...if so I apologise in advance for being obnoxious.......

Last time I was outback (not that far from home either) we went walking for a few miles to shoot (cull) a few feral pigs.........great hunt, and definitely worth the effort...man, rifle, knife (oh and vegemite sandwiches - two of them)

Like I said, not a deer hunter so I don't shoot them. I have to admit there are times when I, and my neighbors, might wish I would rethink that given the current size of the herd hereabouts. As far as I know, this wasn't intended as a joke. It doesn't seem any worse than sitting motionless in a tree for hours. ;D

Well, yes, but only because that hunter does not have the Scrapemaker 2000.  If he did, the buck would have scraped the hat off the hunter's head and then peed all over him.

"The Scrapemaker is indespensible for the modern hunter.  Millions sold in Europe.  Buy one, get three free; plus, we'll throw in the Scrapemaker 2000 Jr. -- designed to fit in a back pocket or glove box. Don't delay!"

We don't deer hunt around here anymore, it's just plain ole deer shooting.

There is way to many of them, deer are rats with good PR.

in the woods with that fake deer footy scraping away,  :) :) :) :)

Something about it reminds me of the start of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"
