The best thing about this forum is that there aren't many members with ten foot poles stuck up their arses, with all that brings with it!

If there are any members like that here, they at least touch some one with the other end of the pole.  ;) ;D When they spin around they get everyone  ;D

Just like everyone else here...i like stock bikes and that was the route i was headed for with project K4 however the more i look at the bike and the more i enjoy riding my Interceptor i realise that my K4 is basicly a bucket and could really be rebuilt to however i wish. so with that said the K4 will become a Cafe just because of the condition it was in when purchased.

Had my 550 been complete when I bought it, I would stay stock.  But with the needed parts/cost, I can go Cafe and save a little or not.  Doesn't matter if it's not the fastest, I have my Blackbird for fast.  Most of my bikes are pretty well stock, I wanted to build something a little wild for town.  Sure I won't get the money out of it as for resale, but I will make a killing in grins.

I whole heartily agree with all that's been said here. Sure, a pure stock CB would be great but, mine weren't that way, when I got them (except for my 80' CB750K) and therefore won't be built that way.

Different Strokes for Different Folks. I believe that most all of us won't Bad Mouth some one about his (or her) bike but, we also want (and expect) the same consideration. Most all of my projects will most likely become some form ( or variation of the the Cafe Style, or something similar) or possibly similar to a race bike (but Streetable).

I would never cut up a nice stock bike (or bikepart for the matter...)
Why?
It just seems unnessecery to use a good bike (or part) when there is plenty of bangers around.

I also find stock bikes quite uninteresting. Feels like "when you´ve seen one, you´ve seen them all"...
A modified bike, on the other hand, reflects the builders vision and his/hers ability to make come true, and really catches my attention.
I don´t always like what I see but it always interests me  :)

Cheers
