So I rode my bike to the barber shop today to get a haircut. The guy who cut my hair was one I had discussed my bike with a few times before but he had never seen it. After paying, I grabbed my jacket and helmet to put them on and he noticed my bike right outside the door. He asked, "Is this your bike?" and I told him it was. He said, "Mind if I look at it?" so I said, "Sure...go right ahead."
Well, he walked outside and so did about 6 other guys (all customers except for one more barber) of varying ages who all came outside and checked her out. One of the younger guys (early 20's) asked what year it was and I went through the whole spiel. Then my barber goes, "Yeah but he and his son restored it as his son's senior project in high school." and that lead to several more questions. Ten minutes later, all but one turns to go back inside after saying how much they liked the bike. So I look at that guy and said, "Everything ok?" and he says, "Hell yeah...I just wanna hear it cranked up.".
So I cranked it and got ready to ride off. He steps off the curb and handed me his business card and said, "If you ever decide you wanna sell this bike, give me a call." I smiled and thanked him and said, "You might wanna go looking for another one if you really want one. I don't plan to sell this one."
