72 CB 450 Question
« on: August 15, 2015, 08:06:19 AM »
Hi Guys,

I apologize for posting here about a DOHC but I can  not seem to get any answer out of other bike forums.
I saw an ad for a 72 CB 450.  The owner says it runs fine but has the "typical" clutch noise when running.
He said his other 450 had the same noise and he had no,issues with it.  Is anyone aware of such an issue with 450s ?  Thanks in advance.

Jerry

I have had my CB450 on the road for the last 5 years and logged almost 15,000kms. They do have some whine associated with the clutch and or the straight cut gears from the crank to the clutch. Its not really an issue just the way it is. There is a huge amount of info on hondatwins.net they have a sub forum specifically for the "DOHC 450" Head over there and do some reading I absolutely love my CB450 infact i have spent the last 3 days bombing around the city on it :)
