rear shock residue/grease

Hey guys quick question, what are you all using to clean up the grease accumulated on the rear shock of the bike?

New shocks will clean those up really nicely.

i might have to do that later on then, currently working on carbs, need to buy new air boots, and getting a different tripple tree:)

In that case, I'm sure you can get pretty far with some spray engine degreaser and some old toothbrushes. Maybe some steel 00 steel wool to try and knock the rusty bits down a bit.
