Cb750 18" al rim options
« on: August 20, 2015, 04:12:59 PM »
I'm planning on redoing the rear wheel on the chopper. It currently has a 750 disc brake hub laced to a 16" rim. Didn't some of the 750s and gl1000s have aluminum rims?

Yes, I think some of the Auto's had a 17 inch aluminum rearm the GL's definitely did... ;)  Sun , Morad and Excel, to name a few, also have 18 inch rims in aluminum.. ;)

My 750 A aluminum rim has a 130 x 17 tire on it. Cheap on EbaY with an almost new shinko on it.

Thanks for the input. I love the look of a polished rear 18".

Just another vote for a 17" alu rim with a 90/130-17 tire on it. Nice fat tire. ;D
