1971 CB500 carb rebuild
« on: August 22, 2015, 12:38:42 PM »
Awhile ago I was looking for some carb parts because the previous owner tried to rebuild them himself and tried to drill out a striped bolt and messed the slide up. Someone gave me the name of a user of this forum that you can send your carbs to and he would rebuild them. I have since misplaced his name. Can someone please let me know his name or recommend someone to do the work? Thanks

I would also highly recommend Keith Pruyne (keith7932@verizon.net) - he was exceedingly helpful and patient with me when the carbs he rebuilt for me didn't initially work as well as I expected they would.

Where ever you get them done, give them as much information as you can about exactly how you plan to use them (- 4 into 4?, original air filter?), and exactly what look you are after (-polished/powder coated/cleaned original/etc..), and any known history of the carbs.
