BIKERS

This sort of came about in the "70s joke" thread.  Thought it would be a good poll.  Be honest, very first thought that enters your mind.

I think you have to ride a bike with carbs to even consider being a biker.

But what if somebody slings their buddie's SOHC carbs over the handlebars of their Schwinn? ;)

None of the above, in my younger days my definition of a biker was very clear, someone who rides a motorbike full time, he does not own or drive a car, also if he owns it and rides it he must be able to do all the maintenance on it himself.

It has been so long since I have seen anything near a Hell's Angel on a Harley that that image is no longer relevant here. If they are around they only ride the Harley in their suits and never with patches.

What I do see all the time are the RUBs, especially on Friday afternoons. They are like mosquitoes but really aggravating! The "pose."

In Calgary then it is anyone on a motorcycle and I see a lot more of them around as regular transport - except today - it's snowing like hell. A lot of motocross bikes showing up as regular transport and scooters are really big.

Is a person on a scooter considered a biker or not? If not, are they "skeeters"?
Time is short!

You mean fat  guys in weekend pirate outfits are not real bikers?

Kinda like spitfire's definition

From my era, I really think of bikers as 60s style leather jacket, old Brit bike, teddy boy hair, jeans and shoes. I was originally a wannabe Mod!
