A quick update on the 2016 PreTT Classic at Billown, IoM.
After a promising practice, the Monday race day proved initially frustrating with a clutch issue (wet clutch) hamstringing the 500/4 into retirement in both the 500 Senior and 850 races. However the day and mood was saved by a cracking 350 race, where Alan Oversby was able to haul back in Mike Hose, after being baulked at the start, by lap 6, pass him on lap 7 & keep a slender into lap 8 and through to the chequered flag. In the process, Alan broke both the lap & race record, in a race time that would have had him on the podium in both the 500 & 850 races.
William Dunlop took the opportunity to ride his 350 in practice ahead of this years Classic TT and proved both fast & happy with the bikes handling, bar a few tweaks.
The 500 will be getting a new engine for the Classic TT with some new features. I will keep you posted.
