GB500 ~ 600
« on: October 27, 2006, 09:18:43 AM »
I was just notified of a GB500 basket (body work is good) and XR600 engine in the Atlanta area for $1500.  If you like these bikes and are at all mechanical, this sounds like a giveaway to me.  Let me know if you are interested as i don't have the phone number.  It's listed on the Yahoo Groups GB500 group if you want to look it up there.

That is a sweet bike. I think only available for 2 years.

I can see these bringing in stupid money.

Low miles bikes are getting around $4500 to $5K.  I have seen a few with under 500 miles that were asking $6 to $8K, but that's stupid.  They are not long distance bikes- up close it's surprising how small they are and the ergos are a racing position as they came stock with rear-sets and clip-ons.  Very light and a thought enters your head about a turn and you're in it.  Under 400lb.  It's allegedly easy to put a 600 or 650 single in there which would make it quite the little hot rod single.  Stock, they don't have the poop of something like an SR500, but up to speed, they are more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

so- anybody getting the info at the Yahoo group site?
