cb500/four camshaft limits
« on: August 26, 2015, 11:57:05 AM »
In reading the specifications on the sohc4 owners site and the tech info on this site I see the camshaft intake lobe limit is larger than the standard range. I believe the cb500/four camshaft intake lobe limit is to be 34.85mm and not the stated 35.85mm since the standard range is 34.93-34.97. Can any of you verify this?
Thank you

I ran into this on my 550. There are typos in the honda manual that carried over to the Clymer and other manuals. I'm certain it's supposed to be 34.85 like you said. Isn't that the part of the page that also says "runont" instead of "runout"? Also look at the metric/imperial conversions and if I remember correctly they're all f'd up.
