Bill, I'm running the DK8's , Rs36 on my bike. As you can see, the spacing is very close to the sohc. I had to offset grind my boots to get the spacing between the middle carbs correct. The boots had to be opened up anyway for the larger OD of the 36's so moving the circle over was no big deal with the right cutter. Just a lot of rubber flying all over the place and dealing with the smell was the hardest part. Understand that it took me a while to figure out how to launch the big with those oversized carbs but I eventually became fairly proficient at getting the bike off the line without bogging it down or wheeling. If I had to do it again, I'd have waited and gotten Mikuni America to rake me up some 34's as the 36's truly are to big for my 1030 motor. But hey, sometimes our impatience as racers comes at a heavy price. I will say, I love the top end I get from the 36's. I'm sacrificing bottom end without a doubt but my 60' times may not show it readily
