Possible a sticky float or something blocking the float valve and seat

Ya hats what I was thinking it say all winter so I might have some varnish but I do have a inline filter on the fuel line so it's not dirt or rust from the tank I have had that before so I always run a filter

Well if my carbs were leaking on the kickstand, I would probably just take them off the kickstand!

LOL...sorry couldn't resist.

I'm thinking you have a problem with your float bowl gaskets. If they aren't sealing, the gas would never get high enough to close the needle valve, and the gas would just flow. And the carbs should not leak on the sidestand unless it is coming from the bowl seam. You might have kinked one when you put the carbs back together. It also would interfere with the float.

Worth a look anyway. Sounds like the carbs must hit the bench. Or wait to see if it heals.

I'm no carb expert, But assuming its a CB750, the stock carb has an overflow tube that exits dead nuts below the float bowl, so a leaky gasket is not an issue. When the bowl has too much fuel, it comes out that brass tube.

So you're back to the float valve. They can get worse over time and then start to leak. Or the floats themselves stick when leaned and holds the valve open, till you pull it upright again, the float unsticks and alls well again.

It's the fact that it leaks only on the sidestand that makes me think gaskets, McRider. The fuel all goes to the left side of the bowl and will always spill when the gasket is bad or misplaced. I've gone through a bunch of them - especially the cheap ones that swell when they come into contact with gas. Tilting the bike wouldn't cause the fuel to rise high enough to exceed the brass tube, but it will damn sure cover the float bowl seam. Then, when the bike stands straight up, the level goes below he seam again.

That does't mean that is the cause for the fuel to keep flowing. That is clearly the needle valve/float. But why does the float stick only when the bike is tilted? Maybe a float is slipping slightly to the side and catching the edge of a bloated gasket.

Whatever. No one will know unless he pulls the carbs.

Got it.

They seem to stick when leaning more often, probably because of friction on the side of the pivot or bowl.

yeah, I had the same problem... then I removed the carbs from the kickstand and attached them to the rubber manifold boots and there was no more leaking.
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

Gonna ask where it's leaking from, overflow tubes or float bowl gaskets.

Sounds like gaskets might cure it. My K8 was similar and no matter what it would not stop until I bought a set of gaskets.

I forgot to mention that it would drip a little before but it sat all winter with no gas in it and now it is a steady stream

Is this a 750k0-K6 or F0 with #7A carbs?
If so, the sharp edges of the float arm can raise burrs on the posts that then make the floats stick slightly open when on the sidestand (see my book, Carbs chapter, for pix and details?).

But...if they also leak with the petcock OFF, then the petcock seal needs to be replaced, too.

I will defiantly check out your book as for the petcock I am thinking of replacing it with one that will point to the back I don't know what this one came off of but it is not the original and was never meant to be on the left side of the tank

I was going to suggest that you might just have your fuel level a bit too high in the bowl.  That can cause a leak when it's on its sidestand but not upright.
