Iv been lurking here for a while during my last couple builds and I'm currently on last few steps of my 74 cb750 cafe build.
I just wanted to share my successful attempt to using adapter plates to mount a spoked wheel to inverted forks rather than going the massively expensive cognito moto route. Instead of buying a $400 hub, spokes, possibly a new rim and going through the trouble of lacing and taking off and on the tire. I did almost the same thing as the "Olivia cb550" thread with plates to line up the cbr rotors but instead of milling down the axle to fit the stock cb bearings I removed them and used the same plates to hold the cbr 1" bearings. The plates mount through the 6 stock rotor holes. Me and my machinist photo graphed the process

Pretty Sweet, Looking forward to seeing this come together. I have a GSXR Conversion going on myself so I'm always curious to see how they turn out for other guys.... I've never done it myself and am super excited to feel how it rides and more importantly....how fast it stops...

Will keep an eye on your thread.

First ride; The braking is massively improved (obviously) it stops on a dime and looks cool as hell. The downside is with the change in rake/trail the steering is so immediate, sharp and unpredictable that a steering damper is more than necessary.
I have also managed to add a stock but chopped fender from the stock cb wheel by way of the stabilizing arms.

Or a custom offset triple to restore the stock offset.

Looks like that front fender will hit the lower triple tree when hard on the brakes. Also a good chance/risk the front wheel will be stopped by the crushed fender or by hitting the downpipes.
The suspension must always be able to bottom out without anything else hitting first.
Be careful...

Custom offset triples will definitely correct the steering. Shoot me a PM if your interested and we can talk about some design options. I have a ton of designs to work with.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Very nice thinking outside the box.  Thank you for sharing your solution.
Definitely plan to change your front triples to correct the handling problem as others have advised, not doing so could be the recipe for a wreck.

slikwilli420 has a variety of triple tree designs and can make something custom for you.  I don't know what his prices are but you can PM him.

Cognitomoto also makes custom offset triples for $599 (https://cognitomoto.com/collections/fork-conversion-parts/products/cbr600rr-cbr1000rr-fixed-offset-triple-tree-conversion-30mm-45mm-50mm-55mm-60mm)

Would it be possible to take the triple to my machinist have him press out the stem and drill the seat for the yolk on an angle and same for the top tree ?

No.  Manipulating the rake angle by drilling another hole in the bottom triple at an angle will change the rake of the bike.  The fork offset is the perpendicular distance from the steering axis (center of the steering head) to the center of the front wheel (the center of the fork tubes).
