How did she run Larry ?

Quite nice, owner plans to put a dealer tag on it and use it for an occasional commute back and forth to work...Larry

I appreciated the saga of this bike Larry, bloody knuckles and all. And I hate to give them any slack, but after my own thrashings I now understand why many dealers flat out refuse to work on the older stuff we love. It is amazing how a simple thing can turn into an ass kicking on an old bike when I least expect it.

What's next onto the lift Larry?

I am working on a cb550 for a forum member, may start a thread, plus I have pulled the pink 400F out of the shed and started work after at least a year off. The thread has been resurrected.

I have 30 hours of time into the Yammie not including what was on me to repair the fire damage, at a dealer that would most likely be 2400 or more so your point about dealers not taking on bikes would reflect that.  Actually, I am trying to buy a Yamaha  305 Big Bear Scrambler but the owner has been hard to contact.  The big brother to what I just finished.

Stopped by the owner's shop to glass bead some parts for the Pink Panther and check how he liked the Yammie. He has been riding it since I delivered it, he went cruising at 65-70 mph with a friend who owns a Harley and was very pleased how the bike performed. Still trying to get in contact with the owner of a 305 Big Bear...Larry

Glad he likes your handiwork.  Nice that the bike is performing well and it is pleasing him. Wouldn't expect anything else out of your shop. Any disappointment would be in the bike's capabilities.

Good luck tracking down the Big Bear. Hope you can make the deal and pick it up.
