Ok guys stay tuned. I got me a SJ4000 Cam from amazon.com, the real one not the clone, and I must say so far I love this thing! Feels well constructed and comes with tons of mounts. You do need to sand the mount tabs as they are slick pvc and will slide all over if you don't and leave your cam pointed at the road or clouds.
I went with the SJ4000 for the mounts and the little LCD on the back that lets you position the cam. Was going with the xiaomi yi, but the LCD is what put it over the top. The xiaomi yi has the 1080p 60fps, but I am under the impression you need good editing software to take advantage of the extra fps?
Will get up some footage latter. You can't go wrong with these little action cams much better than a big camera and if you wreck it you are not out $300 to $300 bucks.
Right now I am using OpenShot on Ubuntu linux would like to know what others are using to edit their videos.
