Has anybody installed 754's pingel petcock adapter yet?
« on: August 27, 2015, 03:40:58 PM »
So a year or two ago our very own 754 machined some brass Pingel petcock adapters for 18mm tank threads on the 77-78 CB750 F models. Has anybody installed theirs yet? Got pics? and most important, what part number Pingel did you install? I am not sure which one to get.

Thanks!

And 754.... any chance your up for making an adapter to fit the 750 K model tanks with the petcock on the left side?

Yea I know it's 1/4" NPT but there are a few different part numbers for them depending of the location of the petcock. Just wondering which one works best.
 Thanks Frank!

It really depends where YOU WOULD LIKE your line/ lines to run.
Do you prefer straight down, or out the side?  One line with a Tee downstream,  or duals?
Are you running stock carbs,  Mikuni, Webers.......or something else..?
Lots of variables which is why, Pingel has so many styles...

OK, I finally took a guess and ordered a Pingel. Fits pretty good but I had to press the lever in a bit further because it hit the cam cover. I also had to apply some Teflon tape a bit thick to get the outlet where I need it. I think the 6111-AH might work a bit better because it directs the outlet more towards the center but this 4111-AH will be just fine. One thing for sure, the reserve is WAY lower than the stock petcock.

This adapter is sweet. Now I just need one that fits my K tank... ;) ;) ;)
