CB400f clutch cover broken
« on: September 19, 2015, 10:16:02 AM »
Hi guys,
I stupidly put the washer on the retaining bolt of the cam chain drive the wrong way around. (even though it clearly says outside on it).
whilst the bike was running it unscrewed and came completely out of the clutch cover.

Is it possible to repair my clutch cover or do i need a new cover?
I'm struggling to find any online

Thanks in advance,
Joey

OK, seriously, I read this 10 times and it still makes no sense.
Cam chain drive retaining bolt?
Washer on the outside?

Anyway, whether the cover is repairable depends on how much it is damaged. Assuming you actually mean the actual clutch cover, it does only two things: keeps oil in and supports the throwout mechanism. If a repaired cover can accomplish both jobs then it will be fine.
