Eldar I am thinking of the same. I just powdercoated my trees and I am wondering if there is any advantage.  It is hard when you own a K-8 to find any way to improve on it year after year.  It be kind of nice if something would break or need repaired.  Riding and polishing thats all I ever seem to do! 8)

These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

I know how you feel Quail. Even after years of storage, everythings works. It is almost disappointing....almost!
A good cleaning is all things needed and thats it! Well I suppose one can find perfection after all! It can be found in a K8!

Be careful Dusterdude has helped several K8 owners find thier way to the after life .  You could be next.  He tried to sucker Eldar into marrying him just so he could get his hands on his K8!  The plan was to stop by my house on the way!  I think he's on K8 probation, that would explain the post and actions.  His Dad use to race and beat him on the track with a stock K8 when he was younger.  To make it worse he always had a rider with him.

Do you happen to have a part number for Dennis Kirk?  I was unable to locate the part on their site.

Thank you!

I checked it out and did not find bearings for the head on dennis kirk either. You might have to call them if you absolutely want to buy from them.
I have gotten things from partsnmore.com and they were pretty decent.

Thanks all for the input, especially you Chippyfive  fitty.  You owe me a Bitburger by the way.  I found the correct sizes on Pro-FLo after I micrometered (mic'd) the stem and bearing OD's.  Pro-FLo kit #22-22-1011 $37.95  The sizes are 26 X 48.5 X 15.2    30 X 50 x 14.4  Millimeters of course.  Have a great weekend building, I will.

My post was more to let fellow CB750K owners know that it doesn't APPEAR that it will work.  However, in my years I have learned that part lists may not always be correct.  A micrometer may prove that it will work.

I'm going to mic the races sometime this winter, I have it apart anyway, and give the specs to the local bearing dealer.  I can get the 6302 2RD front bearing for about $3 CAD a piece.  Can't see the tapered bearings being a whole lot more.

I just replaced the orig. bearing with tapers on my K8.  I sat it up on the centerstand and turned the handlebars, they seems eay enough and had no hard spots.  But after I removed the front wheel I could really feel a flat spot in the steering.  The old grease was long dead and the balls where far from round.  I feel like I have power steering now and the cornering is smoother now too.  My dust cover was part of the adjusting nut also.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

I was wondering if they quality is the same at davidsilver on the tapered bearing, they are almost half the price, and then I don't need to pay taxes like I do at US shops.

I bought my tapers of ebay 40.00.  took the part numbers off them and bought timkin bearings local for 18.00.  I just resold the ebay bearings for 40.00.  I only wish I would have thought to keep the old bearing numbers.  If anyone needs to replace the lower dust seal I bought a pack of 10.  I just have not got around to listing them yet.  I love the tapers, you can not believe the change.  And my old bearings passed all the test as fine!

One thing about fitting taper roller head bearings is they are about 1/8" inch taller than stock. It isnt a problem with aftermarket headlamp 'ears' but the stock move about a bit. need to fit some sort of washer on the fork tubes to prevent this and keep the standard rubber mounts slightly compressed ( or dont go out in the dark)
