My latest addition...

HD XL1200 CA. Café parts are on the way. Ignore the hideous license plate. Vehicle Registration (staffed by Air Force) considers this to be the "small plate." The alternative would be a plate the size of a garage door. The bike has a USAREUR (U.S. Army Europe) Registration. There is a good reason I keep my Honda registered in California. :)
I only have 1,000 miles before first service on Tuesday-barely a trip to the Alps. I am leaving Saturday.   :D

Hopefully more reliable than that BMW of yours  ;D

Weird. It's my first time on a Harley--ever. I am not supposed to go over 3000, then 3500rpms for the first 500 miles Yeah, right. My left  hand barely fits between left mirror and handlebar when pulling the clutch (long-stem mirrors on order). This V2 is something completely different--couldn't be more different from my S1000RR. Reminds me a little bit of my old British bikes. I let you know more after my trip--I leave tonight for the Dolomites. Clubman Bar and Café Seat are on order--plus a gazillion more parts. I will never be a proper Harley guy. I got this one because it looked sportier than other Harleys (except for 883 which is too small) and has regular foot controls (Harley calls them mid-controls) and low bars. Autobahn will be fine (oil cooler is ordered) since the RR gave me no wind protection at 185 mph, 100 mph are easy. It will get Ohlins and the brakes probably will be replaced with Brembos. You see where I am going to? I just like the engine--a lot. I don't need much power. The Harley has exactly one horse more than my CB750. :) It sounds great--and it is fun. There is already snow in the Alps--that's what I bought the bike for--my winter bike to replace the RR. The Honda is too precious for me to expose it to salt. I live each day as if it is the last--so I ride through the winter since I don't put my belongings before my life, and time is not in my favor.
I keep you updated after the trip when I am in a better position to judge its driving abilities.

Seems like an xr 1200 would be a better platform if you do a café, It's practically done.

No doubt--but HD stopped producing them years ago.
